Library Privacy Notice
The Black Hi Story Library is a free educational initiative created and stewarded by Homage To Black Excellence (H2BE). We collect the information needed to provide the resource you request and document the people H2BE serves.
Email verification, service records, and downloads
When you request a publication, H2BE uses your email address and selected title to deliver a secure verification message. H2BE retains your email address, the requested resource, and the dates of the request, verification, and download as a limited service record.
These records help H2BE count unique resource recipients, understand which free resources are accessed, and report aggregate community impact truthfully. Public reports use totals and other combined figures rather than identifying individual readers. Your information is not sold, used for unrelated marketing, or used to subscribe you to announcements.
The secure link identifies the selected publication and includes a random service-record identifier and expiration time. It does not contain your email address, and it expires 15 minutes after it is issued.
Black American Economic Civilization Calculator archive
When a visitor saves a calculator report, the public archive stores the selected city, record year, sourced calculator facts, indicator values, save count, and date. The calculator does not ask for or store the visitor’s name or email address. Archived records support chronological research patterns and portable CSV or JSON exports.
Separate consent for announcements
Requesting a publication does not subscribe you to newsletters or future announcements. Any future subscription will use a separate, clearly labeled consent action.
Website operations and security
H2BE uses trusted technology services to host the Library, deliver verification messages, protect secure downloads, and maintain reliable access. These services may process limited technical and security information only as needed to operate and protect the Library and meet applicable legal requirements.
Retention and your choices
H2BE retains Library service records for nonprofit service documentation, program evaluation, and aggregate impact reporting. You may browse and search the Library without entering an email. For questions or to request access, correction, or deletion of your service record, contact support@homage2be.org. H2BE may retain information when required for legal or organizational recordkeeping.
Cookies and analytics
The Library does not place advertising or marketing cookies through this download form. The hosting platform may use essential security technologies needed to deliver and protect the website.
